Grounding is the New Light
A little tidbit about myself that many people are probably unaware of.
I suffer from intense anxiety.
I can honestly say that nothing is more stressful than being in a public place and having that sensation start to creep up and take over all of your senses. That feeling can switch from a small suffocating feeling in the chest to a full-on panic attack.
I personally find that Reading uplifting words in this situation, can also be a powerful method of keeping calm when stress threatens to overwhelm me. Words that inspire can soothe a frazzled mind and comfort being in a state of stress. Focusing my attention elsewhere. Immediately after, I do a quick, yet powerful grounding techniques that will help me to refocus and re-look now at hand. Bringing me back to a state of contentment, feelings of comfort and calm.
Grounding, which is also know as earthing, is a therapeutic technique that involves doing activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect you to the earth. This practice relies on earthing science and grounding physics to explain how electrical charges from the earth can have positive effects on your body.
On that note, I have created some Grounding/Meditation cards. Small and dainty enough to keep on your person, in a bag or purse.
Each card has an inspiring yet thought provoking quote with scenic background to engage your focus. On the back of each card, has a meditation technique that anyone can do, almost anywhere.
