The Root Chakra is the very first chakra located at the base of your spine. It’s often referred to as the base chakra or “Muladhara” in the Sanskrit language. Root Chakra is red in color and is responsible for your feeling of safety, security, and grounding. It also connects you to Mother Earth and nature.

When the root chakra is imbalanced, you’re likely to experience fear, stress, anxiety, and insecurity. People with an awakened or balanced root chakra are generally confident, trustworthy, and grounded.
